Maker Faire Contract
We
are so excited your child has taken on the challenge of signing up for our
Maker Faire. The Faire is Wednesday, October 8, 2014 from 5:30-7pm! There is an
outpouring of participation in response to our call for a celebration of creative design thinking.
All Maker Faire participants must please follow these guidelines:
1. Each project must have a tri-fold, self-standing board (approx 14” high x 33” wide dimensions) describing the creation. Bel Aire School will provide tri-fold boards to those students who don’t have one.
The display board should include the following:
a. Title of creation
b. Inventors
c. Photographs or artwork
d. Description of project
2. All materials and display boards should be brought to the Multi-Purpose Room by 8:05am on Wednesday, October 8th.
EVERYTHING must be bagged and clearly labeled with your child’s name and teacher’s name.
3. We will designate specific booth assignments based on invention.
4. Students will work on display set-up during the day on Wed., Oct 8.
5. Students/parents are asked to return to school at 5pm for final check. Event begins at 5:30. Students/parents are asked to clean up project areas from 7-7:30pm.
Restrictions: Live animals, anything that might be considered a weapon, any potentially hazardous foods (i.e. nuts and raw meat), anything explosive, anything excessively messy ARE NOT ALLOWED
For larger, more complicated projects that need to be done at home, those can be videoed and the video can be displayed during the Maker Faire.
Please see Mrs. Rhodes or Ms. Skinner with any questions.
